It's like an intersection of art and deja vu, a little bit strange!

Pour of Tor--I love Munro and Atwood, and Gallant, too. I don't know about being in the mind of characters I don't like -- I don't remember it ever bothering me. I think I stay distanced from them, as Litlove describes.Rebecca H.https://www.blogger.com/profile/10825532162727473112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8275808567357577735.post-41035798864354289222009-11-30T10:20:45.237-08:002009-11-30T10:20:45.237-08:00Oh... My favorite of hers is "Open Secrets," but it has been too long since I have read one of her books. Now that I am newly a resident of Canada, there is all the more reason to return to her work (and Margaret Atwood's and Mavis Gallant's).Sycorax Pinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07734754573631273474noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8275808567357577735.post-18623583569894095012009-11-30T01:06:14.126-08:002009-11-30T01:06:14.126-08:00I'd love to read both the Nicholson Baker and ...I'd love to read both the Nicholson Baker and the Alice Munroe! I can't think of a book that has unfolded as if from my own mind, but then I'm usually holding myself at a bit of a distance to think about what's happening all of the time (old habits die hard!). But I've been inside the heads of some pretty vile characters in my university teaching days - murderers, paedophiles and tramps have all featured!litlovehttp://litlove.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
